Before founding Walt Law, Moffitt was an assistant District Attorney in NW Georgia before going into private law practice. That training as an assistant District Attorney in the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit helped launch his current criminal law litigation career.


After navigating through thousands of cases over a span of four decades, skillfully negotiating, litigating, and settling hundreds of millions of dollars in claims for insurance companies, Walt's father, James Moffitt, is bringing his expertise to assist Walt in handling personal injury claims for our clients at the Moffitt Firm. James has transitioned from appearing in court to leveraging his extensive background in successfully handling numerous injury and accident claims for insurers. This expertise equips him to effectively enhance the outcomes for our law firm's personal injury attorney clients in accident and injury cases, including wrongful death cases.



For many years, Walt was a partner in a Rossville, GA legal firm, but decided to open his own law office in 2023. Now, along with his dad as an "of Counsel" legal advisor, Walt has 100% control over all aspects of his law office management and follow-through for clients.
